Biographical / Historical
He was adopted by the principal Piegan chief, Three Suns, when a small boy, and raised in a conservative full blood home.
In 1943-4 Charley was learning to become an instructor in the Piegan sun dance. In the sun dance at Browning in 1944, he served as a full-fledged instructor to the medicine man and medicine woman. A mixed blood. (J. C. Ewers,January 1949).
