The question has been raised by some scribes and historians, as to the existence of a photo taken of the noted warrior. A thorough search by the author for a picture of him brought no results, for none was ever taken of him. A near image by the author's father, Louis Bordeaux, Mrs Clown, the warrior's sister, and other close associates, gave a fair legible facial and figured [sic] idea of his general appearance, as to his height, weight, and poise. Height about 5-11, weight 175, complexion rather light for an Indian, eyes light brown, hair long dark brown, facial expression, firm and determine[d] mouth, manner, winning personality. Very seldom heard in public debates. Character calm and reserved, scar on left cheek. There you have a fair picture of the famed hero as it was described by those who had a close-up view of him as he was seen in the final days before his tragic death. William J.
