Scope and Contents
Ndebele Men, 1936-1949. The men are standing and wearing beaded arm, waist, and wrist rings, beaded headdresses decorated with coins, beaded earrings, and a beaded jewelry piece that crosses over their chest. They are dressed for a rare initiation ceremony. They are holding sticks. The one on the far left is also wearing pants and a plaid scarf across his chest. Photograph by Constance Stuart Larrabee, 1936-1949.
