General
CDR copy FW-ASCH-7RR-0847 contains a reading of a prose work of Walt Whitman, about the sea, entitled Sea-Shore Fancies, contained in a book of Whitman's works published in 1892. The reader is not identified. Actual sounds of the sea are included. This particular prose work isn't included in the Folkways record of Walt Whitman's works. The beginning of this work, perhaps an additional take by the same reader, can be heard on FW-ASCH-7RR-0850. The label on the -0847 tape box says, "Whitman; Mix of Best of RI." However, the only thing on the tape is the Whitman selection described above; perhaps "R.I." is the reader.) No other information is provided.
