Recording of negro spirituals and gospel music including Were You There (When They Crucified My Lord), Deep River, King Jesus (Will Roll All Burdens Away), Praising Jesus Ever More, Every Time I Feel the Spirit, Gonna Ride Up In the Chariot, and Nobody Knows the Trouble I've Seen. Singers include Odetta and Robert J. Bradley. Recording of Must Be Born Again by Reverend J. M. Gates; multiple recordings of the slave song containing "What ship is that you're enlisted upon? O glory hallelujah! 'Tis the old ship of Zion, hallelujah!"; and a recording of Certainly Lord.
