The Gibbons are probably Mr. and Mrs. John F. Gibbons; Gibbons was a business associate of Dr. Liebig, who became vice president of the Liebig Manufacturing Company and, in 1899, president of the American Agricultural Chemical Company. He was also one of the administrators of Dr. Liebig's estate.
