In existence since 1926, this garden features shrub borders and a sunken garden designed by Ellen Biddle Shipman in the late 1920s-early 1930s for former owners Mr. and Mrs. Frederick S. Moseley.
Persons associated with the garden include: Ellen Biddle Shipman (landscape architect, ca. 1925-1935) and Mr. and Mrs. Frederick S. Moseley (former owners, 1926-1938).
Documentation of Shipman's design may be found in the Ellen McGowan Biddle Shipman Papers, Division of Rare and Manuscript Collections, Cornell University.
