General
Casal dos Gaiatos translates to 'Couple of Wags' in Portuguese. At the time of its documentation in 1973 this Connecticut property, owned by Mr. and Mrs. Burton Ashford, featured a gazebo situated above a terraced garden as well as a large patio adjacent to the residence. The patio, which provided a sweeping view of the surrounding landscape, served as an outdoor living and dining area framed with wisteria and vine-covered trelisses.
