Emily Rainwater, post-graduate fellow, and Janice Stagnitto Ellis, senior paper conservator at the Smithsonian’s National Museum of American History's Paper Conservation Lab, work carefully to conserve the construction and aesthetics of the Thomas Jefferson’s private text, The Life and Morals of Jesus of Nazareth—colloquially known as the Jefferson Bible. It will be on display in the museum’s Albert Small Documents Gallery from November 11, 2011 – May 28, 2012.
