ISSUE: State Birds and Flowers

FIRST DAY OF ISSUE April 14, 1982

The robin, a state bird of Connecticut, Wisconsin and Michigan, is perched on the branches of a blossoming apple tree. The final stamp was part of a fifty- stamp pane designed by a father and son team. The father, Arthur, created the bird design, and Alan fashioned the flower design.
