See 110 woodcuts, intaglios, and lithographs drawn from NMAA's extensive holdings in an exhibition that celebrates the artist's 85th birthday. Born in Germany, Drewes (pronounced (Dre-vess) immigrated to the U.S. and was a founding member of the American Abstract Artists group in 1973; later he spent 19 years teaching at Washington University in St. Louis. Although he retired in 1964—he now lives in Reston, Va.—he continues to be an active printmaker and painter.
