On view are some 50 drawings by the American architectural sculptor, selected from the Cooper-Hewitt collection. The pencil drawings, notable for their outstanding draftsmanship and use of vibrant color, are an expression of De Cesare's personal theory of the relationship between art and music; his intent was to convey the sounds heard in a musical performance into visual images. The exhibition description was bound into the first issue of the American edition of the Italian magazine FMR.
