Through film, artifacts, photographs, and samples of news accounts, developments of the space age are placed against the background of social, cultural, and other events of the time.
An adaptation of the exhibit will be circulated by SITES after closing.
The exhibit covers 5 topics:
- The Beginnings (1957-1958)
- Man in Space (1961-1964)
- Lunar Conquest (1966-1969)
- Space is Commonplace (1972-1976)
- Today and Tomorrow (Voyager and the Space Shuttle)
