This exhibition commemorates the 250th anniversary of the death of Italian violin-maker Antonio Stradivari (1644?-1737). On view are four rare, ornately decorated instruments by the craftsman—two violins, a viola, and a cello. The instruments are from the collection of Dr. Herbert R. Axelrod.
