An automated honey- and berry-dispensing tree has been constructed to mark the 40th anniversary of Smokey's becoming the symbol for prevention of forest fires. The artificial beech tree is strikingly realistic and incorporates a mechanical device that periodically dispenses honey or berries for the American black bear.
