Folk figures crafted in the 19th and 20th centuries present evidence of the use of figurines as daily reminders to working people of the importance of their own labor to society. The 27 figures represent saints, laborers, and some folk heroes, such as the Lone Ranger, and utilize wood, wax, corn husks, and textiles in their construction.
