Rome's conquest of the Mediterranean world, its war propaganda and conflicts with Celts, Dacians, Parthians, Jews, Numidians, and others are illustrated by the coins Romans and their adversaries minted. The exhibition concludes with coins that depict Rome's downfall and its military and political conquest by the Germanic Ostrogoths and Vandals.
