To mark its 10th anniversary in the Andrew Carnegie Mansion, the Cooper-Hewitt looks back on a decade of activity and exploration since opening its doors as the Smithsonian Institution's national museum of design. On view is a selection of objects collected by the Cooper-Hewitt since 1976, spanning several centuries and representing both traditional and innovative collecting patterns in each of the museum's major departments.
