Paul MacCready has constructed a life-sized, radio-controlled replica of a large prehistoric "creature," a pterodactyl-like craft resembling the Quetzalcoatlus northropi, whose 35-foot-plus fossil remains were found in Texas in the early 1970s. The replica, also known as QN—The Time Traveler, will appear in the NASM film On the Wing, which examines flight in its various forms. The exhibition is accompanied by a video showing QN's construction and test flights.
