Robert Weingarten's 60x90-inch photographs, which he calls translucent composites, are built from multiple digital images that his famous subjects have identified as representing what makes them who they are. Weingarten's photographic biographies are complemented by a selection of historic photographs from the National Museum of American History's Photographic History Collection that depict ordinary people with the tools of their trade, photographs of well-known subjects, photographs used to record achievements, and other combination prints.
Presented in coordination with National Museum of American History.
