President Harry S. Truman Centennial: The Berlin Airlift
May 8, 1984 – March 31, 1986
View photographs and memorabilia from the Berlin airlift, highlighting the role of the Truman Administration. A 10-minute film covers the political climate, people, airplanes, and operations concerned with the airlift. Commemorates the centennial of Truman's birth and shows how the U.S. kept Berlin's residents alive by delivering fuel and food when Russia blocked entry to West Berlin from April 1948 to September 1949.
