This mini retrospective of contemporary artist Simryn Gill (b. 1959) features three works created between 1992 and 2006 and is her first major exhibition in the United States. Gill's works—consisting of poetically transformed found objects—examines relationships among nature, culture, and knowledge as well as between individual and place. With her multicultural background, the works will reveal a transnational perspective, evocatively referring to passages of material and literary cultures across borders.
