Latino and Latin American Collections

In three cases, a variety of objects from the museum's collection document various aspects of Latino and Latin American history and culture, including religion, popular culture, business, sports, labor, and entertainment.
On view are:
- Jacket that belonged to Cesar Chavez, Mexican American migrant worker, who worked tirelessly for the farm workers in California
- Mask made by Leonardo Pagan for the Ponce carnival in Puerto Rico
- Panos, ink and pencil drawings depicting life in the barrios of the Southwest. See October 2005 Smithsonian magazine, pp.29-30
- Black pumps by designer Manolo Blahnik and silk gauze dress by designer Oscar de la Renta.
- Examples of Latino and Latin American religious folk art.
