On view are artifacts from the Yi (or Choson) Dynasty (1392-1910), the last and longest-lived imperial dynasty of Korea. Included from the NMNH Department of Anthropology's collections are imperial seals, tablets, edicts, and a sedan chair originally displayed at the World's Columbian Exhibition of 1893. Also on view are archaeological artifacts from the Yi Royal House Museum of Art in Seoul.
The exhibition showcases the Smithsonian's restoration and conservation efforts for its Korean collections.
