On view are approximately 60 examples of lacquer containers, utensils, and furniture from China and Japan, incorporating such techniques as monochrome, carved and colored lacquer, and Japanese decoration in silver and gold. They range in date from the Sung dynasty (960-1279 A.D.) through the 19th century.
