Imperial Austria: Treasures of Art, Arms, and Armor from the State of Styria
October 4, 1992 – January 24, 1993
On view for the first time outside of Europe are over 250 works of art, arms, and armor. From Medieval swords to meticulously crafted firearms, from field, tournament, parade, and horse armor to rare paintings and sculpture, the works in this exhibition chronicle the vast changes that swept Austria and Europe from the late Middle Ages through the 17th century.
