This small display marks the 100th anniversary of General Marshall's birth. On view is a uniform worn while he served as Army Chief of Staff. Also on view is a portrait painted by Thomas Stephens on loan from NPG, and the three completed volumes of a four-volume biography by Dr. Forrest Pogue, director, Eisenhower Institute for Historical Research, NMAH.  

Two volumes of the set are for sale in the Smithsonian Bookstore.
