On view are 94 paintings and drawings in the most comprehensive exhibition ever shown of the works of Davis (1920-1985), a major American artist and an innovator in the field of abstraction. Included are the finest examples of Davis's familiar stripe paintings as well as a selection of his best work in lesser-known formats. Works range from 18-foot murals to micro paintings only an inch or two wide. The exhibition is grouped by similarity rather than by chronology.
