On view are gowns worn by First Ladies Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis, Lady Bird Johnson, Patricia Nixon, Betty Ford, Rosalynn Carter, and Nancy Reagan. This smaller exhibition replaces the First Ladies Hall while that area is renovated and several gowns are restored. A renovated First Ladies Hall will open on the second floor in 1991. The hall will feature a "Ceremonial Court" of architectural elements from the pre-Truman White House.
