On view are 90 works including many iconographic representations of comets. Drawings, paintings, illuminated manuscripts, and sculptures are included, ranging from ancient Babylonian clay tablets to a 20th-century Lalique hood ornament, neon, and paintings by contemporary artist Andreas Nottenbohm. The works, on loan from museums and private collectors, trace changes throughout history in our attitudes toward comets.

No photography permitted.
