View inventions, notebooks, and graphics marking publication of the first portion of the Edison papers on microfilm. Covering the years 1850 to 1878, the exhibition includes a phonograph, a printing telegraph, a telephone receiver, and a telephone transmitter.
The SI is among sponsors of the Edison Papers Project, edited by Rutgers University. The original papers are at the Edison National Historical Site, West Orange, N.J.
