The Divine Word of Islam

On view are examples of 17 bound Islamic manuscripts. The exhibition includes the Koran (the holy scripture of Islam), books of prayer, folios from dispersed volumes as well as a ceramic tombstone. These objects, primarily from the Henri Vever collection, date from the 14th through the 18th century and are from Egypt, Iran, and Turkey.
