Images of glass and iron buildings, called Crystal Palaces, constructed in London and New York in 1851 and 1853 are the centerpieces of this exhibition. Included are photographs, drawings, sheet music, peepshows, ceramics, and advertising ephemera from the Cooper-Hewitt collections as well as objects from the Library of Congress and several New York museums, historical societies, and libraries.
