Tibetan monks will be constructing a sand mandala dedicated to the well-being of China, Tibet, and the United States. The mandala is an ancient form of Buddhist sacred art that manifests peace, harmony, and prosperity. The finished mandala will be ritualistically dismantled and thrown in the Potomac River.
