On view are 17 modern works from the collection, including paintings, works on paper, and sculpture, which have undergone conservation treatments. "Before" photographs and an explanation of the conservation treatment are displayed with the art. Artists whose "resurrected" works are on view include Arshile Gorky, Joan Miro, Alexander Calder, Fernand Leger, Larry Rivers, and others. The accompanying 15-minute audio-visual program focuses on conservation of outdoor sculpture and also goes behind-the-scenes to the HMSG's conservation laboratory.
