Examine 3 traditional ceramic forms—plate, cup, vase—as they have been transformed into nonfunctional art works. The 72 clay works, created over the past 20 years, combine the heritage of familiar shapes with the conceptual concerns of modernism. Artists represented include Peter Voulkos, Robert Arneson, Andrea Gill, Rudy Autio, Viola Frey, Jun Kaneko, Ron Nagle, Kenneth Price, Richard Shaw, and 17 other nationally recognized contemporary artists.
