Explore the differences and similarities of his approach to urban subjects in New York in 3 series by Davidson, shown together for the first time. East 100th Street, portrays the people of East Harlem in their environment. In The Cafeteria, he photographed elderly men and women—including some Holocaust survivors—using a direct flash and isolating his subjects against a black background.
