Northwest Coast Kwakiutl Indian ceremonial potlatches are brought to life through 120 artworks, some exhibited for the first time. Items on view include headdresses, ceremonial masks, feasting bowls, blankets, daggers, and rattles.
Organized by the American Museum of Natural History in New York City.
Inside the exhibition space, a continuously running clip from Edward Curtis's 1914 film shows a potlatch ceremony in process.
