Belgian Lace

On view are 87 items of clothing and accessories created in various techniques—bobbin, needle, mixed techniques, and "fake" lace—dating from the late 19th century to the present, all from a private collection. In addition, the bridal veil made for Princess Stephanie for her marriage to Crown Price Rudolph of Austria in 1881 is on loan from MAH. Lace-making tools from MAH collections are also on view.
