This exhibition shows the evolution of photographic portraits of children from the early days of photography to the turn of the century. On view are 32 photographs, daguerrotypes, tintypes, and early Kodak snapshots from the permanent collections of the museum's Division of Photographic History. Also illustrated are some of the more humorous tactics early photographers employed to produce pleasing images.
