Arnold Newman Photographs Artists

On view are 31 photographs of some of this century's best-known American and European artists in their studios or at work, taken by Newman between 1940 and 1961. Artists photographed include Edward Hopper, Piet Mondrian, Georges Braque, Marc Chagall, and Jackson Pollock.
The exhibition is organized from a group of Newman photographs that came to the musem with the Joseph H. Hirshhorn Bequest of 1981.
