Both literal and fanciful representations of animals are included in the 114 sculptural and functional objects on view. Contemporary American artists and craftsmen use a variety of materials—wood, paper, metal, porcelain, stoneware, earthenware, fiber, and glass—in creating jewelry, clothing, quilts, windows, bowls, plates, a chair, and a weathervane.
