On view are 36 objects on loan from the Byzantine Collection at Dumbarton Oaks in Washington, D.C., while Dumbarton Oaks is closed for renovation. The centerpiece of the exhibition is a bronze rearing horse with Himyaritic inscriptions—one of the finest surviving examples of ancient south Arabian bronzework. Other objects include jewelry—i.e., necklaces—and secular and liturgical vessels made with various metals.
