American Art Deco

Taking its name from the Exposition Internationale des Arts Decoratifs in Paris in 1925, art deco was the most important decorative style of the late 1920s and 1930s in the U.S. On view are some 180 works including sculpture, furniture, textiles, glass, ceramics, silver, and architectural photographs. The influence of art deco was found in both art and design—from Paul Manship's sculpture to Donald Deskey and Paul Theodore Frankl's furniture.
