Follow American history from the Revolutionary period through the 1940s with artifacts and music. Participants and sponsors include the Dallas Museum of Art, the Dallas Arts District Foundation, Trammel Crow Company, and UPS.

Artifacts on view include: 

  • A lamp and telescope used by George Washington 
  • George Custer's buckskin jacket 
  • Furniture from the Appomattox farmhouse where Lee surrendered to Grant 
  • The John Bull steam locomotive 
  • The pen used to sign the 19th Amendment; a sash associated with the struggle for women's suffrage 
  • Franklin Roosevelt's "Fireside Chat" radio microphone
