- George Custer's buckskin jacket
- Furniture from the Appomattox farmhouse where Lee surrendered to Grant
- The John Bull steam locomotive
- The pen used to sign the 19th Amendment; a sash associated with the struggle for women's suffrage
- Franklin Roosevelt's "Fireside Chat" radio microphone
