The exhibition commemorates the birth of this leader in Italian aviation, who designed Italy's1st successful aircraft. The centerpiece of the exhibition is a 1911 wood-and-fabric monoplane, the Caproni CA-9, a plane used in Italy for passenger and military transport. Also on view are historic photographs of the Caproni aviation school, now the center for flight instruction in Italy; memorabilia and medals awarded to Caproni craft at air meets and shows; and models and drawings.
