U.S. Census: Counting on You

Every 10 years, the U.S. Census Bureau counts all the people residing in the U.S. Explore census-related materials in Smithsonian collections, from a 1790 jug listing state populations to tabulating equipment to posters reminding Puerto Ricans to be counted in the 2000 census.
