Description
Two women, one standing and one crouched, under an umbrella in the snow near a plum tree (symbolic of winter). They are looking at a narcissus flower (symbolic of spring) which has grown up through the snow. At the left of the painting is a signature and a round seal in red characters.
Signatures
At the left of the painting is the signature [CHN] kubo shunman ga, "painted by Kubo Shunman."
Marks
Beneath the signature is a round seal in red characters reading "Shunman."
