    Description

    This handheld electronic calculator has a tan and brown plastic case with nineteen square plastic keys. In addition to ten digit keys and a decimal point key it has four arithmetic function keys, a clear key, a clear entry key, a display key, and a percentage key. A mark in the top row of keys reads: W (/) A. A mark behind this reads: electronic WIZARD. A K/C switch is next to this. Behind is an eight-digit LED display.
    A jack for a power adapter is on the back edge and a switch is on the left side.
    The back of the calculator has a compartment for four AA batteries. A sticker on the compartment cover gives operating instructions. It is marked in part: Model No. TXI-4995 A 47 (/) Serial No. (/) 0007473 (/) ASSEMBLED IN U.S.A. AND DISTRIBUTED BY WESTERN AUTO SUPPLY CO.
    Several electronic calculators made by Texas Instruments were distributed by the retailer Western Auto, some under the name “Electronic Wizard.” This one had the designation TXI- 4995. For a calculator made by TI for another distributor, see the Montgomery Ward P8F (1986.0988.143).
