Description
White earthenware, thrown. Narrow base, gradually expanding until the shoulder, sharply narrowing at the neck, turned out rim; no foot. Decorated with a stylized pond scene with lily pads. Against a reddish-brown ground, water grasses extend upward from the bottom, dark green lily pads are irregularly positioned upon the body with yellow water lilies in various stages of bloom at the shoulder. Starting from the rim, and draping downward are three stalactite-like areas of electro-deposited copper with a green patina. Exterior: underglaze, glaze; fine crackling. Interior and bottom: glaze.
